Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel by Tyson using a porcelain clay body. They are then painted with homemade underglazes by Jessica. The pieces go into a bisque kiln and come out ready to glaze. Both the liner (the inside color) and the outer clear glaze recipes were developed by Tyson for maximum beauty and durability. Once the pieces are lined and dipped, they are glaze fired to cone 6. They come out nice and shiny. Next, homemade decals, which are derived from Jessica’s original pen and ink drawings, are applied. After all that, it’s back into the kiln for a third firing which fuses the decals into the surface of the glaze. All of our ware is lead free, food, dishwasher, and microwave safe… and very fun to use.

Here are some examples of the forms that we make. All of these forms are available in all of our designs.

We have put a lot of thought into the volume and the weight of each piece. The mug handles have evolved along the way, and they are super-comfortable. Our glazes were formulated over a period of months to get just the right texture, colors, and durability. We want the mug or bowl that you buy from us to become your favorite mug or bowl. Then, once we have you hooked, our plan to take over the world can begin!
